What is your medical speciality? What do you like the most in your speciality?
I am a general practitioner. It allows me to meet extraordinary people, to help some of them to better cope with illness and help others to stay healthy.

Research topics: In 2013 defended the doctoral dissertation on the topic "The effect of the intervention of family physicians on patients' attitudes toward prevention activities and the risk factors for cerebrovascular disease". 
Professional interests: all aspects of work in family medicine, specifically aimed at the prevention of cardiovascular diseases and chronic lung disease. 

John Brodersen John Brodersen, PhD, MD

Workplace: Professor at the Centre of Research and Education in General Practice, Department of Public Health, University of Copenhagen & at the Primary Health Care Research Unit, Zealand Region, Denmark.  
Teaching topics: prevention, medical screening and evidence-based medicine. 
Reasearch topics: His research is focused on the balance between benefits and harms of medical prevention with a special interest in the field of development and validation of questionnaires to measure psychosocial consequences of medical screening and to measure the degree of overdiagnosis in medical screening.
